Lifetime Movie #2

This week's movie was called:

Amish Grace

It is based on a true story. The act that happened is basically where the "true" part ended. Let me explain:

A man, who is dealing with the loss of his infant daughter, decides to go to an Amish community. He goes into a school and shoots 10 girls. 5 of them are killed and the others had life threatening injuries, but survived.

They (liftetime move people) created a family, in which 2 of their girls were in the school. One survives. Since I don't know much of the Amish community aside from they don't use technology, I found myself wanting to understand more of how they work. I felt that that part of it was not explained at all. I found myself questioning alot through this movie. And although the story is very sad, I just didn't get it.

This man was very upset....that I get.
He wanted to hurt someone else...that I get.
He picked up milk from the Amish community, so that is how he knew them and their schedules...that I get.
The Amish people are very forgiving...that I get.
The mother's of the girls that died are very upset, but forgive the shooter, because they know he will be judged...that I get.
The wife of the shooter is a victim...that I get.

But putting all of this together in a movie, I just didn't get. Maybe I missed something. The main mother wants to leave the community because her husband gave forgiveness away so easily. But, when it shows the husband forgiving this family, it doesn't look easy.

Overall, this movie left me very confused. I kind of don't know why I finished it.

I give it a 2-3, just because it had the girl from Father of the Bride.

That's all.
