First Hospital Stay

My first hospital stay sucked!
Pain and vomiting were horrible but the tests were almost worse.

One good time:
My stomach was really bloated,
and I continued puke.
So the Dr. decided to put a tube down
my throat and into my stomach.
Let me just tell you that I had a very heated discussion
with the nurse who came into my room with this tube.

The conversation went like this:

Nurse: I'm gonna have to put this in your nose then slide
it down your throat into your stomach.
(he then hands me a glass of water and tells me to drink
out of the straw to help move the tube down)

Me: Ummm, no I'm not doing that. You are going to
have to figure something else out.

Even though I was very rude, the nurse just started
pushing the tube into my nose and I basically had no choice.

Then I received all kinds of anti-nausea,
pain, anxiety meds.

So I sort of doze off.

When I wake up, my hand immediately
goes to my face.
And let me tell you, when you doze off
and kind of forget what
is going on and then feel
tubes and tape on your face.
Well I FREAKED!
And pulled the tube out.
Once I did that monitors started beeping
and nurses started running.
Needless to say they were not happy.

So again I had to do the same process
all over again.

Then I get more night night drugs
aka anxiety knock you out quick meds.
While I was out, the nurse taped up
my whole face so that I couldn't pull the
tube out again. During this time, my
husband had gone to get something to eat,
so when he came back and saw me all
taped up, he was a little shocked.

In between tubes, I puked
with the tube in my stomach and let me
tell you that was not cool.

Not sure why this came to mind, but it is
sure a fun thing to remember.
